Adding texture and interest to your weaving workshop

Last week, a dozen of our Members were treated to a very special workshop lead by Laura Thomas an established woven textile artist, designer and maker specialising in producing unconventional textiles for contemporary spaces.
Over the course of the day, Laura demonstrated various weaving manipulation techniques that can be used to incorporate different materials and textures into woven items. Members really enjoyed having a go with some of these and left feeling inspired to have a go at including them in their future creations.
